Inauguration of Friuli Enologia – new Garbellotto dealer in Friuli Venezia Giulia

Inaugurated on 27 March, Friuli Enologia was set up at the behest of partners Nicola Bosco, Erik Russian and the Garbellotto family: ‘the company’s mission is the sale and technical assistance of all cellar equipment, from presses for pressing grapes, to machines for vinifying them, barrels and barriques for ageing wine, and finally machines for bottling it,’ explains Erik Russian.

The new facility was inaugurated by Governor Massimiliano Fedriga and the mayor of San Giovanni al Natisone Carlo Pali, in the presence of almost 200 people representing the region’s wineries, suppliers and collaborators; among the guests were also the General of the Carabinieri Commander of the FVG Legion Francesco Atzeni, the parish priest Don Luigi Paolone, and the Imoco Volley world champions.

Friuli Venezia Giulia, a land that has always been vocated and famous for great wines, will from today have a new reference point for the production of the area’s wines. “The wine sector is fundamental for the economy of Friuli and for the excellence of Made in Italy,” commented Governor Fedriga, and continued, “Friuli Enologia will provide an all-round service to customers, from the beginning to the after-sale to the customer, to improve and increase the quality of the wine production system.

“When a public administration, such as the one in Friuli, is so close to the companies, and works at the same speed as them, Made in Italy is not afraid to accept any challenge in the world,” concludes Piero Garbellotto, CEO of Garbellotto S.p.A.

The headquarters in San Giovanni al Natisone, which occupies 1,000 square metres, was chosen because it is located in the Gorizia Udine direction, logistically very convenient and easily reached by all the wine producers in the area.

To start 2023 with new experiences and sensations in the world of wine, the Garbellotto Tour resumes, visiting the well-known Bertani winery in the heart of Valpolicella.

Here, Alojz Felix Jermann and Andrea Lonardi, COO of Angelini Wines and Estates, owner of Bertani, take us through the historic cellars where Amarone della Valpolicella is aged and matured in Garbellotto barrels created with NIR technology.

Bertani’s Amarone della Valpolicella is made using more traditional and ancient methods, following a gentle settling in bamboo grates close to the vineyards before being vinified and aged, for more than eight years, in French and Slavonian oak barrels treated with Garbellotto’s NIR technology.

Together with Alojz Felix and Andrea we take a closer look at how wood with NIR technology allows the winery to produce the fruit of the land, expressing it with elegance, finesse and longevity. Follow the video to discover the details of Garbellotto’s visit to Valpolicella and how our barrels made the idea of making wine at Bertani possible.

“I migliori vini affinano in Garbellotto” – In Valtellina con Emanuele Pelizzatti Perego

La seconda puntata di Garbellotto on Tour per il progetto ‘I migliori vini affinano in Garbellotto’, ci porta in Valtellina più precisamente a Sondrio dove insieme ad Alojz Felix Jermann siamo accompagnati a scoprire la viticoltura alpina del Nebbiolo qui chiamato Chiavennasca. La cantina che ci ospita è quella della famiglia Pelizzatti Perego dove siamo accolti da Emanuele ed Isabella, la quinta generazione dell’azienda ARPEPE Mentre conosciamo meglio la realtà Valtellinese, Emanuele ci racconta il forte legame che il papà Arturo aveva instaurato con Garbellotto e come le botti di Garbellotto sono la “vera casa” del loro vino. Inoltre, la famiglia ha rigenerato le botti più vecchie per mantenere vive le tradizioni cosi come hanno recentemente acquistato le botti con la tecnologia NIR per ottenere il desiderato profilo aromatico nei vini. Il legno di Garbellotto rende possibile l’idea di fare vino dell’azienda Arpepe, siamo dunque fieri ed orgogliosi della nostra partnership con la famiglia Pelizzatti Perego. Con grande piacere vi presentiamo la prima puntata del nostro progetto, ‘I migliori vini affinano in Garbellotto’. Come prima tappa, insieme ad Alojz Felix Jermann, siamo andati a trovare Nicola Oberto fondatore e comproprietario della giovane cantina Trediberri, nelle terre del Barolo.

Nicola Oberto, ci accompagna prima, tra i suoi vigneti per mostrarci le meraviglie del paesaggio della Morra, poi in cantina dove troviamo esclusivamente le botti di Garbellotto.

Mentre degustiamo il suo Barolo del comune di la Morra 2018, Nicola, ci racconta come la sua idea di fare vino e diventata possibile grazie alla partnership con Garbellotto, che negli anni gli ha fornito tutto il suo bottame.
